The 1972-2010 GSS cumulative data file for the National Opinion Research Center's General Social Surveys (GSS) is now available from the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research via Roper Express and CD-ROM. The General Social Survey brings the rich coverage of one of the nation's longest running surveys of social, cultural and political indicators available today right to your desktop. Encompassing 38 years of national survey data in one comprehensive data file. An SPSS/PASW portable system file makes it even more convenient for students and faculty to gain full access to this rich data resource. Students will find the GSS a rich resource for term papers, theses, and dissertations. Teachers can use it in courses that teach social science as an empirical science. The newly released cumulativedata file contains individual response coding for 55,087 respondents and 5414 variables.
