Paul Herrnson new Executive Director

The Roper Center, its Board of Directors, and the University of Connecticut are pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Herrnson as Professor of Political Science and Executive Director of the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research.

Dr. Herrnson is currently a Professor in the Department of Government and Politics at the University of Maryland where he has received outstanding teaching awards from the University and the American Political Science Association. He is also the Founding Director of the Center for American Politics and Government at the University of Maryland.

Paul is a very well-published scholar whose research papers have appeared in the leading journals. His recent books include: Interest Groups Unleashed (2012), and the 6th edition of his widely used text, Congressional Elections (2011).

His appointment at UConn begins on July 22, 2013.
