iPOLL



Polling the Nations is an online database of public opinion polls containing nearly one half million questions and responses from 14,000 surveys conducted from 1986 through the present in the U.S. and 100 other countries.

 

Content

Generally, the Polling the Nations database contains compilations of questions and responses from national, state, local and special surveys covering subjects from social and political concerns to economic issues. The iPOLL system focuses on national scope surveys and contains not only the complete question text and responses to half a million questions from as far back as 1935, but also information such as study abstracts, links to questionnaires, datasets and citation information where available.

 

Currency

The iPOLL Databank is updated on a daily basis, while Polling The Nations is updated on a monthly basis.

 

Additional features

Nearly 60% of iPOLL questions are linked to respondent level datasets, providing researchers access to the full questionnaire and details of the methodology, codes, demographic variables, etc. instantly.
