ABC News/Washington Post Poll, [Apr, 2012]

Let me read you some more information about the House Republicans' budget plan. This plan cuts taxes for corporations and those making over one million dollars a year by 10 percent. It eliminates tax deductions and replaces the current six brackets with two. It repeals the (2010) health care reform law and the Wall Street reform law. The budget will cut more than 1.7 trillion dollars to Medicaid over the next decade and phase out traditional Medicare over the next decade, replacing it with a voucher system in which retirees will receive money to purchase either traditional Medicare or private health insurance. Now that you've heard more information, do you favor or oppose this plan? (If Favor/Oppose, ask:) (Is that strongly or somewhat?)

(Economic prosperity for all requires substantial and continuing investments in new plants and equipment. For example, it takes about $25,000 in investment to provide a job for one new worker--the truck he drives, the factory he works in, the machines he operates and so forth. A number of economists have expressed concern about a shortage of investment capital and where the new money needed will come from. Here are five ways the amount of capital available for investment in new plants and equipment could be increased. I'd like your reaction to each of these ideas.)...Encourage foreign companies to invest money here in new businesses or buy into American businesses so that those foreign companies would provide the new plants and equipment
