Medicare's prescription drug benefit program, called Part D, allows private health providers to negotiate directly with pharmaceutical companies in order to provide drugs for seniors at the lowest possible cost. Now, President (Barack) Obama wants to impose a new tax or rebate on Medicare Part D, in an effort to reduce Medicare spending. Studies have shown that this new tax will result in seniors paying more for drugs and higher premiums. Knowing this, do you favor or oppose President Obama's new tax on the Medicare Part D program?
