iPOLL

• iPOLL contains half a million survey questions and answers asked in the US over the last 78 years by more than 150 survey organizations.

RoperExplorer

• Conduct on-line analysis of over 1,500 studies available from the Roper Center archives. RoperExplorer allows you to get frequencies, cross-tabulations, and other statistics over the internet without the need for statistical software.

Webinars

Introduction to Roper Center Services - This 45-60 minute webinar offers a tour through the various services available through the Roper Center, including the free services and member only services. Coverage includes detailed search strategies for using iPOLL and the Catalog of Dataset holdings and reviews the interactive functionality of the databases. It reviews the various options to obtain crosstabulations using iPOLL, RoperExpress and RoperExplorer-an online data analysis tool that requires no programming!

Using iPOLL - This 30 minute webinar will review the content and functionality of iPOLL, the Roper Center's database of US public opinion questions and answers collected since the 1930s and as recently as last week. We will talk about the nuts and bolts of searching this database and review approaches to generating results for real research questions. The number of participants will be small enough to encourage open microphone participation. Bring your research questions!

Accessing Datasets at the Roper Center - This 30 minute webinar will cover methods of identifying studies to be used to run detailed data analysis and downloading datasets. Using SPSS and the RoperExplorer online analysis tool, this interactive webinar will run through generating basic crosstabs.
