The US and the World: How are our schools doing?

Comparisons of students from the G7 countries finds while America spends more on education, US students score lower on math and science, better on reading. Also, two perspectives on Canadian realignment, and how crime statistics alone don't measure the real impact of criminal activity on society.

Does the US Have an Ethics Crisis?

It's hard to come up with an honest assessment of polling questions on ethics. For example, perceptions of a decline in ethical behavior do not prove standards are actually declining. With ratings of occupational groups, various behaviors and values. Also, skepticism over data on gun violence among youth and public opinion in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
