To Your Health

Advances in medical care offer hope of a long and healthy life for most Americans, but many lack faith in the health care system. Eighty-nine percent believe the system needs either fundamental changes or a complete overhaul. Also, poorly designed questions can create the illusion of an informed public, and the data doesn't support the theory of a drastic decline in the number of people who view the Bible as the actual word of God to be taken literally.

World Views

The post-September 11th world is a darker place, with fears of terrorism and war at the top of almost every list of global concerns. But how Americans look at key questions regarding foreign affairs has not changed that much in the past decade. Also, some surprising reasons behind the gender gap in political knowledge, and how American Catholics and their priests are going separate ways on many key issues.
